Outfits & Styling.

Within these workshops, clothing was reused, repurposed and re-imagined as part of a shared creative process.
Each band member developed their own look independently, responding to the overarching theme of ‘Spring’ while bringing there own sense of creativity, individuality, and authenticity to the outfits.

Fashion graduate and Bold Voices band member Leo Lovejoy led the styling workshops that helped shape the visual identity of the project.

“ The outfits became an expression of queer identity in bloom, each one reflecting growth, individuality, and the spirit of spring”.

Leo Lovejoy

Working collaboratively with the group, Leo organised and curated sessions where students selected garments kindly donated by Nansa, a charity supporting people of all ages living with, or caring for others with, special educational needs and/or disabilities.

To further strengthen the visual language, Leo introduced a process of weaving floral detail into the outfits, with real floral decals hand-applied to each garment. Each piece was linked to a specific flower associated with a performer, unifying the group aesthetically while reinforcing themes of growth, renewal, and personal expression at the heart of Bold Voices.
