Music Video.

Music Video.

For the music video, we worked with Film and Production Manager Evie Calaby to secure the perfect Norfolk location. Filmed at the expansive and isolated Waxham Beach, the rugged coastline, reeds, and sea waters provided a striking backdrop that complemented the mood of the project.

The film acted as a natural extension of the prop development, mask-making, outfit creation, and photoshoot, bringing these elements together through moving image.

The music video aimed to capture moments of vulnerability and authenticity, revealing a side of each participant that felt both personal and honest. Through these intimate portrayals, the music video tells a story of growth, self-discovery, and blooming as a queer person. Every piece of footage felt raw and personal; each facial expression, gesture, and movement told a story and connected the narrative.

Shot using a vintage JVC camcorder alongside a Super 8 camera, the project maintained its original lo-fi art direction and handcrafted aesthetic. This approach created a nostalgic and intimate visual language, giving the work a diaristic quality that felt honest and reflective.

Despite challenging weather conditions, including periods
of rain and approaching storms, we embraced the elements
and remained committed to telling the Bold Voices story.

Rather than hindering the production, the changing weather became part of the visual narrative, reinforcing the themes of resilience, vulnerability, and transformation that sit at the heart of the project.

“Bold Voices was about empowering people to trust their creativity, celebrate their individuality, and share their stories with confidence”.
